Purna Chandra Jena, an accomplished Indian economist and policy analyst,
possesses an extensive background spanning over 15 years in diverse research,
advisory, and policy capacities. He earned his post-graduate degree in Economics
from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. Currently, he holds the
position of Economic Advisor (Consultant) within the Chief Minister's Office,
Government of Uttarakhand in Dehradun.
Previously, Mr Jena held significant roles, notably as a fellow at ICRIER and as an
Economist at NABCONS, where his contributions stood out prominently in fields
like Agriculture and Post Harvest Loss Estimation. Over his career trajectory, he
has consistently engaged in policy analysis and advocacy, dedicating a substantial
eight-year period to serving both the Government of India and CUTS
International. His devotion to research also led him to serve as a Research Fellow
at the Centre for WTO Studies, IIFT, and as a Research Associate at the National
Institute of Public Finance and Policy.
